Justine and Danny - Graduated 2019

The Royal Ballet School- White Lodge

Justine and Danny both began their ballet training at Lawlor School of Dance. Shelley recognised their potential very early on and by the age of 8 they were both accepted onto the Royal Ballet School's Junior Associate program which they attended every week for three years alongside their regular LSOD classes. In their last year of primary school, they both auditioned for full time ballet schools and were offered places at White Lodge to board full time. Only 12 girls and 12 boys are accepted from all over the world so to have two students attend from the same local dance school is a huge rarity.

The two of them started at the full-time school in September 2019 and are loving their training there. Shelley keeps in touch with them frequently and is extremely excited to see where they will go next with their Ballet.

Tierney - Graduated 2017

Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance

As one of Shelley’s 3 daughters, Tierney was one of the first Lawlor School of Dance students and saw the school grow and develop hugely during her time there (from age 8-18). She studied Ballet, Tap and Modern at our school whilst attending other programs to compliment her core training with Shelley. She was the first student from LSOD to be a RBS Junior Associate and went on to train with Tring Park Classical Ballet Academy, London Senior Ballet and Central School of Ballet Pre-Seniors before finding her love for Contemporary Dance at the CAT Scheme at London Contemporary Dance School. After completing her A-Levels at Twynham School and passing her Advanced 1 RAD with Distinction at LSOD, she gained full time degree places at London Contemporary Dance School, Northern School of Contemporary Dance and Rambert School, where she is currently in her second year. Tierney also teaches part time at a dance school in Surrey and comes back to teach and choreograph on Lawlor School of Dance students whenever she can!

Ava - Graduated 2020

The Hammond School

Ava joined Shelley's Pre-School class at the age of 3 and progressed quickly through her RAD Grades, gaining Distinctions in all exams. She also competed in countless festivals where she was awarded medals and trophies for her ballet and modern solos. At the age of 11 she auditioned for full-time dance schools and was offered a MDS funded place at The Hammond School in Chester. She has been boarding there since September 2020.

Amy - Graduated 2018

Royal Academy of Dance

Amy is now studying at the Royal Academy of Dance HQ in London to gain her RAD teaching certificate. She was at Lawlor School of Dance for 3 years and passed multiple exams under Shelley’s teaching including her Grade 6, 7 and 8 and her Intermediate with Distinction.
